The Scot Group is the vision of our President and founder Derek Lamb who has closely observed from afar the evolution of opportunities related to the mining sector in Ecuador for several years.
Derek wanted to maximize these opportunities by leveraging his network, experience, passion, expertise and exposure from living and working in developing countries and high risk environments since 1999, commencing in the Amazon basin of Ecuador.
He established The Scot Group in 2017 by investing and moving to Quito on full time basis and opened up our head office in Ecuador at that time.
